We love stories of people who do animal rescue work and the animals they rescue. We consider those who do this job to be heros. These people don’t rescue animals for the glory of recognition. They don’t do it for the big paycheck it brings them because there are no big paychecks. In fact, a large percentage of them are volunteers. People who work in the animal rescue field do it simply because they love animals.

In July of 2008 the story of Christian the Lion made headlines when it hit YouTube and there wasn’t a dry eye to be found in the house.
